Welcome to the Forestry and Trade for ASEAN Development (FOR-TRADE) Training Programme
22 July 2021 News
The PEFC Forestry and Trade for ASEAN Development (FOR-TRADE) Training Programme will take place from August 3rd to 18th October. Training sessions are delivered by a range of experts and blends different approaches such as instructor led training, group discussions, case study analysis and eLearning modules.
Links to register for these courses are below in the following summaries of the courses.
The Programme has two main learning streams:
- JAS-ANZ Accelerate Training Academy
- FOR-TRADE Webinars
We also are preparing supplementary case study webinars to illustrate PEFC certification and forest sector accreditation in real life scenarios.
1. JAS-ANZ Accelerate Training Academy
PEFC is proud to have partnered with the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ) to provide training in accreditation standards as part of PEFC’s collaboration with UN-REDD Initiative “Sustainable Forest Trade in the Lower Mekong Region (LMR)”. Country focus for this Initiative is Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam. Working English is required however some material will also be in Thai and Vietnamese.
A key JAS-ANZ strategy is to support the improvement of the conformity assessment industry performance through high quality training in accreditation standards including ISO/IEC 17065 for product certification and ISO/IEC 17021-1 for management system certification.
For each of these two Standards PEFC/JAS-ANZ is offering three courses. Each course has the same content but are at different dates and times. Attendance can be either ‘full participation’ (and receive a certificate from JAS-ANZ), or as an observer only (for the live webinar discussions).
To maintain quality seats are limited on the full participation courses and we are prioritizing partners from Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam. Please book early to secure your seat. Working English is required for these courses although some materials will be available in Thai and Vietnamese.
