The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI)
History before PEFC
The Federation of Thai Industries (F.T.I). serves as the core organization advocating all industries in Thailand. It is a non-profit organization with the main duties of promoting and supporting the industry focusing on sustainable growth development for all industrial operations in the country.
Under F.T.I., The Institute of Agro-based Industries (IAI) was established in 2015 to enhance the quality of agricultural products and production. Thailand Forest Certification Council (TFCC) was founded by forestry stakeholders in collaboration with farmers, academics, the private sector, government and state enterprises. Established at the Faculty of Forestry (KUFF) of the Kasetsart University in 2013, TFCC became part of the Federation of Thai Industries in 2015. In November 2016, F.T.I. became a member of PEFC as the National Governing Body for Thailand.
